COFFEE QUESTIONS
How do I store coffee properly?
If the bag is opened, it is best to store them in an opaque, air-tight container, at room temperature. Avoid clear containers, which will allow light to compromise the taste of your coffee. If you do not have an appropriate air-tight container, our coffee bags are actually the second best option, just make sure the re-seal mechanism is closed properly.
If bags are unopened, you can store the bags in a normal kitchen cabinet, but preferably not with other foods with strong aromas. They will stay fresh this way for about 4-7 weeks.
We have a short blog also on the subject of coffee storage, read here:
Can you share your laboratory testing reports?
Of course! We test it for +350 chemical compounds and we will gladly share the reports if you contact us at help@fabulacoffee.com.
the stomachache. Our coffee is also clean: no molds, no pesticides, always organic.
Coffee peaks around 2 weeks after roasting, and it goes stale after about 2 months. This is not something most coffee brands will tell you, because they can sell stale coffee, especially if it sits in the shelf of distribution centers and retailers. We roast and ship 3 times a week, so your coffee is guaranteed fresh. It makes a big difference, and you feel the coffee more flavorful and with a stronger aroma. Many of our customers have said they in fact use less coffee when brewing, and also drink less: a good cup of coffee fixes their “coffee craving” with much less.
In many ways!
Our coffee is low in acidity, meaning the coffee is healthier and better for your digestive system.
We roast and ship three times a week. Coffee peaks in flavor and aroma 6-9 days after roasting, and will stay fresh for 4-7 weeks, so most of the coffee you get in retail is already stale. You will always receive our coffee fresh and at peak flavor.

Our coffee is always organic, sourced from small farms in small batches. In short: the coffee is good for you and your family, good for the farmers and good for our planet.
Why do I sense a small change in my Fabula coffee from time to time?
We do not make industrialized, standardized coffee. Artisanal coffee is something organic and dynamic. Flavors and aromas will change, even from the same farm. There are different seasons, different harvests, different barometric pressures. Just like wines will taste different in different vintages, coffee will also vary. Many consumers will not notice these subtle differences, but they are there, and we think that is part of the charm of coffee. We do not aim to manipulate the coffee to hit the exact same flavor year after year. We deliver it as nature provides it.
We source from different farms, from different countries, mostly from Latin America. Our bestselling coffees are from Peru, Colombia and Mexico. They are always small batch, small farms, and always organic. Our coffee is grown in higher elevations and in the shade, low in acidity and good for your stomach.
No. That would compromise with our mission to always delivering fresh coffee, since we don’t know how long the coffee will be sitting in the shelf. Neither will you, the consumer!
